Best website & hosting providers
Your own website is the only place online that truly belongs to you — and increasingly a source AI systems cite. Here's the honest take on how solos and small businesses best set up their site, with limits.

Quick: what fits you?
Cheap & easy to DIY
Hostinger — affordable hosting + builder, fast start. Or IONOS if you prefer a European provider with support and domains.
Professional & design-led
Webflow — a no-code design tool for higher demands without a classic hosting setup. More freedom, but a learning curve.
Hostinger · cheapest entry
Affordable web hosting with a builder and (often) a free domain in the first year. Good if you want a decent site fast and cheap, without studying tech. EU data centers available.
Honest saving tip: the low monthly price only applies on a longer term (12+ months) — but then you pay noticeably less per month and have peace of mind for longer. Month-to-month is pricier.
My limit: cheap intro prices usually require long terms; renewal is pricier. Support is good but English-leaning.

IONOS · European provider
An established European provider (1&1) with domains, hosting, a builder and real support. Sensible if proximity, an invoice in your language and a contact person matter to you.
My limit: the interface and upselling feel a bit dated in places; watch the promo prices and terms.

Webflow · no-code design
A visual no-code tool for professionally designed sites — full design control without code, hosting included. Strong when the site really needs to look great and you have some time to learn.
My limit: a notably steeper learning curve and pricier than simple hosting. Overkill for a quick, plain page.

What to actually check
- Term trap: cheap prices often only apply to 2–4 years prepaid; renewal costs more.
- Your own domain: grab your preferred domain — it's yours and boosts your findability (also in AI answers).
- GDPR & server location: EU/local data center + SSL are a must.
- Can you move? Make sure you can take content & domain elsewhere later (no lock-in).
